We provide vital support for anyone affected by prostate cancer: concerned and diagnosed men, their partners, friends and families.
We are working towards a world where lives are no longer limited by prostate cancer. To get there, we provide a broad range of services and fund a robust research programme as well as awareness raising and campaigning work at a national and local level.
We are guided by our strategy 'Transforming the future for prostate cancer'.

Peer-to-peer support
Sometimes it helps to talk to someone who has been there. Whether you have prostate cancer or are a family member or friend of someone living with prostate cancer, we can put you in touch with one of our support volunteers, who have been trained to listen and offer support. We will match you with a volunteer based on your circumstances and concerns.
Online Community
You can join our members' message board where people discuss a whole range of issues related to prostate cancer in a welcoming online environment.
*Calls may be monitored for training purposes. However, confidentiality is maintained between callers and The Prostate Cancer Charity. We regret that we are unable to answer queries from overseas visitors, but all of our publications are available on this website to download.
We provide free information tailored to the needs of men with prostate cancer and their families and friends. See our publication catalogue for a comprehensive range of information about everything from treatment options to living with prostate cancer.
Our work is funded almost entirely by the generosity of companies, trusts, community groups and individuals.
We're also the primary beneficiary of the Movember Foundation. Around 46,000 men supported the 2009 campaign, raising over £5 million by growing moustaches. We also benefit from ongoing support from Marks & Spencer and other leading businesses. We are grateful to a growing number of trusts who support us. Every year thousands of supporters take part in challenge events or fundraising days to raise money for the cause.
Our fundraising activity is very cost-effective: for every £1 we spend on fundraising, we raise £3. For a charity of our size this is a great return in terms of what we need to spend to generate funds. In addition to income, our fundraising activities help deliver the wider awareness goals of the Charity.

African Caribbean men are three times more likely to develop prostate cancer than white men of the same age. However, they are also less likely to be aware of it.
By working with community groups to set up events, deliver talks and distribute information, we aim to increase understanding of the disease and to support the African Caribbean community in dealing with its impact.Find out more about how to get involved in your local community
