We strongly support the right of every man over 50 years - and
younger men of higher risk of developing prostate cancer - to make
an informed choice about the PSA
test.

Access to Clinical Nurse Specialists
We believe it is essential that all men with prostate cancer in
the UK have access to a named Clinical Nurse Specialist at every
stage of their treatment and care.
Use of animals in research
In common with most medical research charities, we acknowledge
that, despite developments in areas such as cell culture and
computer modelling, there will be times when research still depends
on the use of animals. Following the Association of Medical
Research Charities' and Home Office guidance, we will not fund
animal research unless it is essential and there is no
alternative.
