2009
Mr and Mrs Kington celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary earlier this year, asking for donations in lieu of gifts. They raised a fantastic £455 for The Prostate Cancer Charity.
2008
Mr and Mrs Anderson got married in February 2008 and suggested their guests gave donations to two charities instead of presents. Mr Anderson said he chose The Prostate Cancer Charity as
“I was cured of prostate cancer at age 69 by radical prostatectomy 5 years ago and one of our guests is a recent early diagnosis sufferer in his early 60’s.”
2007
On 14th July 2007 Anna and Mike Cotton got married; instead of having a traditional wedding list they decided to ask guests to donate to The Prostate Cancer Charity in memory of Anna’s father Tim.

Previous fundraisers Julian and Karen Langford celebrated their Silver wedding anniversary on the 6th June 2006 and requested that their guests made donations to The Prostate Cancer Charity rather than give gifts. They made a total of £635 and remarked:
“We are very pleased with this amount and hope it will be more useful to The Prostate Cancer Charity than a lot of silver or crystal glasses would be to us!”.
Other Celebrations
On 26th December 2007 Audrey Bowker and her family held their annual Boxing Day party. Audrey told us
“ Every year we choose a different charity to donate to, the reason we chose your charity to donate to is because my husband died of prostate cancer in June.” Thank you to Audrey and her family for raising £130.
