Bath Half Marathon

Bath Male Voice Choir prepare for the Bath Half MarathonA massive 45 members of the Bath Male Voice Choir will be taking up the challenge of the bath half marathon to raise money for The Prostate Cancer Charity. For updates on their progress visit their webpage.



Regent's Park Fun Run

Christine and MarkChristine and her husband Mark took part in the fun run in Regents Park on Sunday 10th May. They raised a fantastic amount of £1,035 so a huge well done to them both.

“Mark and I thoroughly enjoyed our run on Sunday. We had a fabulous weekend in London, the weather was perfect and Regents Park was a lovely place to run. There were about 650 people taking part for many different charities. There was a great atmosphere with everyone encouraging each other and we finished probably in the middle of about 650 people in about 45 minutes.“



Muller 10K

Pippa CardPippa Card took part in the Muller 10K and finished in a speedy 50 minutes, a personal best for Pippa who was thrilled to complete in such a great time. She raised a fantastic £170 so a big thank you for all her efforts. Her next challenge is the Lake Vyrnwy half marathon in September so good luck Pippa!



Bristol 10K

Bonnie Watson and JillyBonnie Watson and her cousin Jilly took part in the Bristol 10K on the 10th May. They really enjoyed the day and raised a fantastic £407.20. A big well done to Bonnie and Jilly for completing the race and for raising such a fantastic amount.



Allister Murphy

Allister MurphyAllister Murphy completed the Belfast relay with his team The Lab Rats in May, their team came 430 out of a field of 2009 relay teams and finished in a time of 3 hrs 55 mins and 10 seconds. So a big well done! Allister is doing a variety of fundraising events to support his run and has so far raised an amazing £4,367. No surprise he was our fundraiser of the month for March! A huge thanks to Allister and his fellow teammates.



Jane Mcmillan

Jane McmillanJane Mcmillan took on the Sheffield half marathon in March, completing the race in a fantastic 2hrs 20min.

"It was a fantastic day the weather was lovely but very hot. It meant so much to me running and raising money for prostate cancer. My legs are a little tired but I was determined to finish it and not let the charity down."

Matthew Read

Matthew ReadMatthew Read has already taken on two half marathons to raise money for The Prostate Cancer Charity in 2009. He ran the Fleet half marathon and came 180th and the Reading Half Marathon he came 278th running both in under 1hr 30m! Matthew said:

“I thoroughly enjoyed raising money for this charity and was proud to run for it on the day. I have raised £250 so far for The Prostate Cancer Charity. I am already looking for a new challenge to raise further funds for this fantastic charity and cause.”
