Case Study: The Royal Bank of Scotland
The entire UK Corporate Banking CAO (Chief Administrative Office), the Feltham office, and the Invoice Finance team at the Glasgow office participated in a ‘blue for the boys’ dress down day to support Prostate Cancer Awareness Week.
A charity representative gave two talks to staff at the Feltham office to raise awareness of the risk factors, signs and symptoms of prostate cancer. In addition to this, the CAO team held a quiz night involving around 125 employees where all entry fees were donated to Charity. The Royal Bank of Scotland raised a total of £1,919.66 for The Prostate Cancer Charity which is a fantastic result.

The Prostate Cancer Charity were one of three beneficiaries of the Lashings Cricket event sponsored by Lombard (part of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group) on 11th August 2006, which gave us the opportunity to mingle with cricketing legends Aravinda de Silva, Phil DeFreitas, Courtney Walsh and Sachin Tentulkar. A charity auction took place during the luncheon with £400 raised by a set of Colin Montgomery golf clubs alone. A presentation took place at close of play, at which The Prostate Cancer Charity was presented with a donation.

The Royal Bank of Scotland continued their support by hosting a workshop on 6th October 2006 involving employees across the Corporate Bank. This was designed to develop a mechanism for raising awareness and funds for Awareness Week 2007. It was a very successful day that generated lots of good ideas. Many thanks to all those involved.
