Case Study: Financial Services Authority
The Financial Services Authority (FSA), and the insurance industry battled it out through an action packed football match in London, on the 29th September 2006. The game ended up as 1-1 after extra time, and was finally called a 2-2 draw after penalties. The players raised money for both The Prostate Cancer Charity and Quest School for Autism.
The event also included a post match drinks reception at the Brewery, including an auction of signed shirts from Rugby International star Johnny Wilkinson and Manchester United regular Ryan Giggs. In total, the event raised over £4,000 for The Prostate Cancer Charity.
Teams were captained by John Tiner, the Chief Executive of the FSA, (playing in green) who nominated The Prostate Cancer Charity, and Keith Satchell, Chief Executive of Friends Provident (playing in blue).
