Case Study: The NEC Group
![]()
The NEC Group adopted The Prostate Cancer Charity as their Charity of the Year from January 2007- January 2008. The NEC Group raised a total of £27,569.20 through various activities such as dress down days, weekly raffles, coffee mornings, and sales of pins badges and peeballs.

Paul Thandi, NEC Group Chief Executive said:
"Throughout the year, our employees go out of their way to support The NEC Group's chosen charity and I would like to extend my thanks to each and every member of our amazing team who has contributed towards this total."
The NEC Group invited The Prostate Cancer Charity along to their Summer Gala Event on Sunday 15th July. This is an annual event put on for staff at The NEC and their families and was held at the Heart of England in Birmingham. Despite the rain, there were lots of fun activities to keep everyone entertained, including The Prostate Cancer Charity’s very own ‘Peeball’ tournament. We set up a stand in the marquee area and handed out literature about prostate cancer as well as selling pin badges and peeballs.
We would like to say thank you to everyone at The NEC Group, particularly to Nadine Donald who worked very hard to achieve so much in 12 months.
