Gift Aid
Under the Inland Revenue’s New Gift Aid scheme, we are able to reclaim the tax made on gifts by UK taxpayers. This means that any donation you make can be worth nearly a third more - at no extra cost to you.
How does it work?
The Prostate Cancer Charity can claim back the tax you have paid on your donations if you make a Gift Aid Declaration stating that you are a UK taxpayer and that you pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax, at least equal to the tax that we will reclaim on your donations (currently 28p for every £1 donated).
- Once you have filled in a Gift Aid Declaration it can cover more than one donation and may apply to future donations indefinitely.
- You are entitled to cancel your Gift Aid Declaration at any time (we will need a written confirmation) and any donations made after the date of cancellation will be taken out of the Gift Aid scheme.
- Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, by either ticking the Gift Aid box on our online donation form or by filling in the Gift Aid form (please see below), there is no need for you to do anything else.
