Income from Charitable Trusts and Foundations is enormously important to us and we are sincerely grateful for the continued support of these charitable bodies.
We recognise the invaluable contribution that Charitable Trusts and Foundations make to our work and therefore provide:
- Regular updates on the progress of our work
- Opportunities to visit the Charity and meet our staff, nurses, volunteers and the people we help
- An acknowledgment in our annual Report and Accounts
Support from Trusts has enabled us to run the following projects:
Our community engagement work in Scotland is supported by The Big Lottery which has donated £153,215 over three years towards the programme.
One of our Helpline nurses is generously supported by The Worshipful Company of Innholders.The Company also supported our participation in The Lord Mayor's Show by funding our float. The truck was kindly donated by Ford (View case study).
The Trailfinders Charity have supported our medical research work with a donation of £500,000 over five years. They have also enabled us to create our new studentship programme with a grant of £226,000 over four years to support two research students.
Our work with African Caribbean men in the Greater London area is generously supported by the City Bridge Trust, which has recently agreed to donate £87,000 over three years towards the programme.
Our BMA accredited Tool Kit was supported by the Epigoni Trust, which donated £7,500 to pay for the printing of 5,000 new fact sheets on prostate cancer, its diagnosis and treatment options.
We are extremely grateful for grants of all sizes and many other Charitable Trusts and Foundations make contributions that enable us to continue the vital work that we do for men and their families affected by prostate cancer.
