It lies underneath the bladder and surrounds the tube (urethra) that men pass urine and semen through.
You may feel shocked, frightened or angry. Men respond in many ways to being diagnosed with prostate cancer.
You may experience side effects of treatment or you may be worried about your cancer coming back.
Your GP will ask you about any symptoms and may do some tests including a urine test.
There is no overall 'best treatment' and each treatment has its own advantages and disadvantages.
