What is the Tool Kit?
The Tool Kit is a folder of information for men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Many health professionals also use it to help them explain treatment options. In fact anyone with an interest in prostate cancer should find the information in the Tool Kit helpful.
The fact sheets give detailed information on diagnosis, treatments and side effects. Our Helpline nurses will send you your own tailored Tool Kit, containing fact sheets that are relevant to you. You can add further sheets at any time. Just call our Helpline or download the sheets here.

New Design
The Tool Kit now has a bright new look and features our new logo and colours. We’ve taken on board your feedback to make the Tool Kit easier to use, for example:
- Groups of fact sheets are now colour-coded to help you find the information you need more quickly
- The folder now contains four new dividers to help you organise your information
- There is now space for you to file your appointment letters and any other useful information in the folder
- The fact sheets follow the RNIB guidelines for accessibility and are written in clear language, with any medical words explained in the fact sheet and in a separate Glossary
All new and updated Tool Kit fact sheets are reviewed by independent health professionals and other experts in the field. You will find a list of reviewers printed at the back of each sheet.
We will be updating and redesigning the Tool Kit sheets over the coming months. We have redesigned ten sheets so far, which are marked in the list below as ‘updated’.
