Free and exclusive event for health professionals

The Prostate Cancer Charity and The British Association of Urological Nurses invite health professionals caring for men with advanced prostate cancer to a unique event in Newcastle on March 6th. At this free event delegates will have the opportunity to learn about the latest guidance and developments from experts in this rapidly changing field.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK. 37, 000 men are diagnosed each year, and one man dies every hour. As the incidence increases so too does the burden for health care teams, both in primary and secondary care settings.

The joint initiative, taking place during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, is aimed at providing health professionals from across the NHS with a greater understanding of some of the most important issues facing men living with the most advanced stages of this disease and how to best manage its impact.

Georgia Diebel, Health Service Liaison Manager at The Prostate Cancer Charity, explains: "We are honoured to be partnering with the British Association of Urological Nurses for what promises to be an informative and thought provoking event. It is an exciting time in the management of men with advanced prostate cancer, as new emerging treatments are becoming available and potentially men can survive longer due to these treatments. We hope that through this free meeting, professionals can be given the tools and knowledge they require to deliver a first class service to men when they need it most."

An Ask the Expert panel session will also take place giving delegates an opportunity to pick the brains of the keynote speakers.
