Real Man Cup '07
Thirty-five teams took part in the 2007 Real Man Cup 5-a-side football tournament at Powerleague, Tottenham.
Liverpool and England footballing legend John Barnes made a special guest appearance and presented the Real Man Cup to the winners, as well as choosing the player of the tournament.
It was a very competitive tournament; with blood, sweat, tears and plenty of fun.
It was a close final that was eventually decided on penalties; the winning team was Streets United - team members were: Chichebe Ibekive, Simon Reyes, Daniel Hornshaw (captain), Anthony Yong, Tom Blackmore and Mark Small.
The runners up were Real Rapp Collins Utd names: Korosh Zand, Rafal Wazny, Garnet Edmonson, Darius Zand, Boby Zand (captain), Nader Zand, Shram Heidair-Dernah, Omid Ghandali.
John Barnes' player of the tournament was Omid Ghandali, from Real Rapp Collins Utd.
On the day there was an auction of football memorabilia which raised £745; and a raffle which raised £635. We have exceeded our original target of £5,000 and have so far raised £5,700.
A big thank you to everyone that took part and made it such a success.
