The Prostate Cancer Charity Marketing Industry Triathlon

Calling all marketing industry athletes (or want to be athletes) The Prostate Cancer Charity Marketing Industry Triathlon returns to Dorney Lake, Eton on Friday July 2nd 2010.

The Prostate Cancer Charity Marketing Industry TriathlonThe unique, fun, unifying event is for everyone in, or connected to sales, marketing, PR, advertising and the communication / media industries, A great networking opportunity for the UK marketing world to unite in healthy, fierce competition - whether it’s client vs agency or brand vs brand - and the perfect lead up to the 2012 Olympics at this official Olympic venue.

Last year’s inaugural event saw participants from 265 agencies and 200 clients cheered on by over 500 colleagues, families and friends and this year’s event hopes to see over 1200 participants representing 500 companies.

With 5 different disciplines (including a 400m swim, a 20km ride and a 2.5km run and 2 team relay events) there’s something for all levels and the event provides the ideal stage for experienced individuals, teams, amateurs and first timers (we might work in a competitive industry, but that doesn’t mean we’re all finely tuned athletes!)

We are delighted to announce that The Prostate Cancer Charity has come on board this year as the Official Charity and Title Sponsor of the event. All marketing and PR professionals who limber up for the challenge will be helping us reach our target of raising more than £50,000 for the Charity.

John Neate, Chief Executive of The Prostate Cancer Charity, said: “We are really thrilled to be the title sponsors for this growing event. Participants will be raising funds to help the Charity fight prostate cancer, which is the most common cancer in men in the UK, and kills one man every hour.”
Once again, the event is supported by Haymarket’s Marketing magazine, the MCCA and Eurosport who will be filming the event.
