Prostate cancer awareness week.

Stephen Gately and Kyran BrackenProstate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK. Every year nearly 35,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer and 10,000 die from it – that’s around one man every hour. Early diagnosis could improve the chance of successful treatment yet 70% of adults in the UK don’t even know what the prostate gland does. Prostate Cancer Awareness Week, 10-16 March 2008, aimed to increase the profile of prostate cancer and raise vital funds to improve research, information and support services.

The 100% silk ties were priced £19.50, with 10% from each sale donated to the Charity. In total, over £6,000 was raised. You can buy yours in 76 stores nationwide or online www.marksandspencer.co.uk
