Welcome to the Summer 2005 edition of Vital
With summer in full swing, many people will be looking forward to enjoying a late holiday. At The Prostate Cancer Charity, however, we’ll be busy throughout summer. That’s because, as you’ll read in this edition of Vital, there is still so much we need to do to fight prostate cancer.
In this issue, you’ll discover that men with prostate cancer are receiving poorer care than other cancer patients, and that our Helpline workers are struggling to deal with an ever-increasing demand for their support, advice and information. The truth is, we urgently need more funds to continue our vital work and reach more men.
We have a brand new campaign and logo launch coming soon, which we hope will raise prostate cancer awareness even further. As ever, we’ll have tremendous support in the Flora London Marathon and you can read about Spencer Wilson’s incredible determination to run last year’s race for us.
I really hope you enjoy all of the articles we’ve included for you – and that you’ll be able to send a gift to help us continue our work. But in the meantime, thank you for all your generous support in the past and enjoy the rest of your summer.
