Millions raised in 2006/07
All over the UK, individuals and businesses are leaping into action to support our cause…
Clocking up the miles for prostate cancer
132 people took part in the 2007 Flora London Marathon for us, raising over £310,000 between them. Tesco, Dunhill and figleaves.com teamed up with us for Father's Day. Tesco donated 10p from each ownbrand Father's Day card sold – raising £19,800. Luxury menswear retailer, Alfred Dunhill, raised over £4,000 from the sales of selected gifts for Father’s Day and blue Real Man pin badges, and figleaves.com raised £3,750 for us through sales of men’s underwear brands Hom and Sloggi.
Marks & Spencer partner with The Prostate Cancer Charity
Marks & Spencer partnered with us to support Prostate Cancer Awareness Week 2007 and beyond. “M&S are proud to be supporting The Prostate Cancer Charity. It’s a great opportunity for us to help raise awareness of this much neglected cause,” said Alex Kelly, Menswear Marketing Manager, M&S. Blue Real Man pin badges were available to buy and free information about prostate cancer distributed in 411 participating M&S stores across the UK. Over £100,000 was raised in total.
