Raising Awareness of Prostate Cancer
We can provide a speaker or a prostate cancer information stand for your event
If you want to know more about prostate cancer you can request a speaker or an information stand provided by an Awareness Volunteer.
Awareness Volunteers work in their local community across the UK to raise awareness of prostate cancer by giving talks to groups and hosting stands at events. They are all personally affected by prostate cancer: men with a diagnosis, wives, partners, family members or friends.
You can request a talk or information stand by filling in our awareness talks form.
Awareness Month 2009
In 2009 we extended our awareness week to a month long awareness campaign – an exciting development which reflects the significant growth within The Prostate Cancer Charity and in the profile of prostate cancer, which has increased year on year.
By allowing our supporters more time to raise awareness throughout the whole of March, we successfully managed to raise the profile of prostate cancer among the public and in the media.
Thousands of individuals and groups across the UK joined forces to help raise awareness of prostate cancer and we hope that this enthusiasm will continue as we grow even bigger as a Charity and can support more men and their families who are affected by prostate cancer.
Thank you to everyone who helped out with Prostate Cancer Awareness Month 2009. We look forward to an even bigger and better awareness campaign in 2010.
