National Prostate Cancer Conference 2004

In November 2004, The Prostate Cancer Charity hosted the first major National Prostate Cancer Conference, 'A Cause for Action: The Time for Change', at the Congress Centre in central London. It was the most broad reaching conference of its type ever held in the UK.

Around 400 delegates attended sessions on cutting edge treatments, the pros and cons of early intervention, how to influence Government and the NHS, dealing with the media, challenging inequalities, and other key issues.

John Neate, Chief Executive of The Prostate Cancer Charity, challenged everyone in the prostate cancer community to work together in bringing about real change in research funding, health services and support and information, to improve the lives of all men affected by prostate cancer.
